It was in the "Age of the Nineties," the 1890's, that SAFE HARBOUR GROUP saw its beginnings in Rockland County, New York. In 1897, the Bedford Agency was awarded a prized citation by the Travelers Insurance Company for service to our community. Today, this tradition of service continues as we offer businesses and individuals the insurance and security essential for the new century ahead.

We've grown considerably in the past hundred years. In 1932, the Martin M. Goldberg Company was formed, followed by the Pedersen Agency in 1946, the Finkelstein-Bedford Agency in 1962, Stark Insurance Services in 1972, Alliance Associates in 1980 and Horowitz Insurance Agency in 1990. Today, we are together as the SAFE HARBOUR GROUP, Ltd., one of the largest insurance agencies in Rockland County, serving the tri-state, national and international markets.

In 2002, we anticipated the current demographic trends that have changed the tri-state metro market and strategically located our new headquarters to be in the middle of the most dynamic marketplace on the Eastern Seaboard. We built a state-of-the-art communications and claims processing center to give you the best modern technology has to offer, while maintaining the all important "personal" side of insurance.
